Do you want practical skills to enable you to start working in the industry right away? If so, the Starting Out in Business course could be just the course for you.
On our flagship 6-day Starting Out in Business course you will be taught by some of the floristry industry most famous names, experienced retail florists who demonstrate and lecture around the UK and Internationally. The course consists of 5 days of practical floristry and 1 day of business studies, with the aim to give you a thorough foundation to the floristry industry.
Our team of tutors will demonstrate gorgeous items of floristry each day and you will make a minimum of 3 pieces of floristry each day, following a step-by-step method to ensure you develop the necessary skills. Over 25 modules of floristry will be achieved during the course duration.

A focus on hand-tied bouquets – four styles/four techniques | A focus on gift wrapping, aquapacking & presentation
A focus on arrangements in mediums – floral foam, chicken wire, kenzan, moss, for a number of commercial situations.
A focus on business studies, with guest tutor Amanda Canning.
A focus on funeral and sympathy designs – formal, informal, classic and contemporary.
A focus on wedding designs – including bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquet, two styles of buttonhole, flower crown and corsage.
A focus on event designs – including low, elevated and tablescape centrepieces.
This 6-Day course is essential for anyone seriously considering opening a floristry business, developing an existing business or looking to start out in the floral industry – we pack a lot into this course – it’s brilliant and exciting, full of practical hands on learning, and laced with commercial business knowledge throughout.
We of course cover theory work, such as principals and elements, colour theory, care and conditioning, and this information is provided throughout the course, implementing this knowledge through practical application.
