Welcome to The Seasonal Special: Floristry Essentials.
From 2027, our Floristry Foundation Class becomes Floristry Essentials, and our Seasonal Special has been refreshed alongside it.
Designed as a shorter, seasonal version of our full Floristry Essentials course, this two-day experience offers a creative introduction to some of the fundamental skills, techniques and principles used within floristry.
Across the two days, you’ll work with beautiful seasonal flowers while exploring a carefully selected range of practical projects. Alongside making, we’ll introduce you to professional flower care and conditioning and some of the Elements of floral design, helping you begin to understand shape, movement, balance and proportion.
Our Seasonal Specials are deliberately a little different from the standard Floristry Essentials course.
With shorter teaching hours, the projects and materials are selected specifically to celebrate the season, so the exact designs you create may vary between dates.
As with all of our courses, we’ll be working with the season’s best materials, including British grown flowers and foliages sourced directly from our local growing partners when the season allows.
We’ll also introduce you to a range of modern floristry mechanics and techniques, with an emphasis on thoughtful material use and keeping single-use plastics to an absolute minimum.
The Seasonal Special: Floristry Essentials is ideal if you’d like to explore floristry in a little more depth, develop your practical skills or simply enjoy two creative days working with flowers.
Please note, no prior floristry experience is required.
All flowers, materials and tools will be provided.
